The Ute Trail

The Ute Trail from the Alpine visitor Center to Milner Pass is a very high and beautiful trail. Along this three mile stretch of the Ute Trail, there are great views and lots of wild flowers. Along the way you will pass a sign indicating the top of Forest Canyon. Although there is no official trail in Forest Canyon, for more experienced hikers, it's worth some time exploring this high and beautiful canyon. I don't think I have ever been in the canyon without seeing a rather large herd of elk.
