This is one of my favorite winter trails. It departs from the trail head on Trail Ridge Road about four miles in from the
Grand Lake entrance to the park. It covers a little less than two miles and arrives at Big Meadow. Big Meadow is a great place to explore and also
a great place for a rest stop. My wife Annie and I like to go to the Meadow for breakfast. There are lots of little meadows and forested areas along the trail.
In the summer timne, stronger hikers may want to continue on to Granit Falls.
