The Devils Trail departs from it's Trailhed which is on CR8 4.5 miles from US 40. In its climb of 2000 feet to Devils Thumb Pass the trail passes
through forest land, meadows, and alpine meadows. This is a streamside trail with great opportunities to see both cascades and small waterfalls.
At many places along the trail there are fields of wild flowers. The climax of the hike is Devels Thumb Pass On the Continental Divide. The pass offers some great panoramic views and a
close up look at The Devils Thumb.
