The Baker Gultch Trail

This is one of my favorite trails. It departs from the Baker-Bowen trail head on Trail Ridge Road about ten miles in from the Grand Lake entrance to the park. It crosses a broad meadow and then follows Baker Creek as it climbs the canyon up to the "Ditch". After crossing the "Ditch" on a log, the trail arrives at a fork where you can either go to Parika Lake or Baker Pass. There are great views and lots of little side streams. Along most of the trail your walk is accompanied by the sound of running water.
